About the Book: The subject on Indian Constitution has been introduced to all Undergraduate Courses at degree level by almost all Universities in the country. This is a very important subject, and every citizen must understand our Constitution and its components. The book is divided into five units: UNIT I: Basic Structure of Constitution. UNIT II: Power and Function of Different Organs of State and Union Government. UNIT III: Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties. UNIT IV: Provisions for State Governments. UNIT V: Doctrine of Federal Constitution. This book may help the prospective candidates for their Competitive Examinations (All India/State Services Examinations). About the Author: M. Raja Ram is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at S.J.C. Institute of Technology (SJCIT), Chickballapur, Karnataka for last 15 years. Presently, he has taken charge as Principal for Balagangadharanatha Swamiji Polytechnic (BGSP), Chickballapur. His areas of interest are Human Resources Management, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Total Quality Management, Engineering Economy, Industrial Management, Behaviourial Sciences and other related areas. He has authored 18 Technical and Non-Technical Papers in National Seminars/Conferences. He is Life Member for Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Institution of Production Engineers, Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers, Indian Institution of Quality Assurance and few social organizations. He is identified as 'Academic Guide' in Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India and 'Executive Council Member' for Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers. Presently, he is pursuing Doctoral Programme in Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in the area of Human Resources Management.
