Finite element method for electromagnetics: antennas, microwave circuits, and scattering applications
John L. Volakis, Arindam Chatterjee, Leo C. Kempel
The original goal of writing the book was to serve as a text for beginning graduate students Interested in the application of the finite element method and its hybrid versions to electromagnetics. However, the authors also recognized a need to report (in a coherent manner) the many recent advances in applying the method!*) to traditional and new problems in electromagnetics. The result is a book that can serve both beginning students and more advanced practitioners, The first half of the book has already bee> used in the classroom as part of a course on numerical electromagnetics at the University of Michigan. The second half of the book covers primarily work on three-dimensional CD) developments and applications which have primarily appeared in the literature over the past 5 years.
